Julie started practicing yoga to address her chronic lower back and hip pain caused by injury and compounded by the sedentary and tense nature of corporate life. Julie realised quickly that it wasn’t only the physical postures that were improving her health but also the breath work and mindfulness of yoga practice that allow the body to ungrip and fully relax. She loves sharing that inner work with others who may be craving relaxation in a fast paced modern world and seeing how the ancient practices of yoga can enable a better quality of life in a contemporary environment.

Julie first trained in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in 2012 and also in Restorative Yoga. In 2015, Julie furthered her knowledge by training in pregnancy and postnatal yoga with YogaBirth, opening a new passion and area of expertise. Following the birth of her first child, Julie continues to be inspired by how relevant and useful yoga can be in both the pre and post natal period.
