Pregnancy Yoga and Active Birth Preparation

Pregnancy yoga is the perfect way to stay active throughout your pregnancy in a safe and welcoming environment and a great way to meet other mums to be. The classes focus on movement and breath to create more space and ease in the body and specifically address physical concerns such as back and hip pain, heartburn, circulation issues and a number of other concerns that come up in pregnancy. The class also addresses the mental aspects of pregnancy and birth, helping mothers find ways to access a state of relaxation that will be invaluable in labour, birth and post partum.
We also look at active birth techniques, positions and lifestyle changes to encourage your baby into the optimal position for birth.
No previous yoga experience is necessary; pregnancy is a great time for your first taste of yoga, which often then lasts a lifetime. Classes are open to women following their first trimester scan.
Classes run in rolling blocks of 6 weeks priced at £72. Each block of 6 classes can be used within a 7 week period to accommodate the clients holidays and illness. I ask that you don’t ask me to make exceptions to this system, as it enables me to balance your needs with the continuity of the student group and the needs of new students wishing to book consecutive classes.
